The grounds

Las Granges is set in the middle of its own 60 acres of land. You’ll find orchards, meadows, ponds and woodland. It’s a peaceful and magical place to escape to, yet just five minutes away from the nearest town.

The large saltwater pool is a particular highlight. With commanding views over the valley, it’s the perfect spot for playing with children, relaxing with a book, or enjoying a glass of something as the sun sets.

AROUND THE HOUSE

You’ll find all kinds of sunny and shady corners around the house, for children and grown-ups alike.

THE ORCHARD

Beneath the house lies an orchard with apple, cherry, plum, greengage and pear trees. You’ll also find an ancient and generous fig tree immediately outside the house. Further afield, you’ll find sloes, wild plums, and blackberries in abundance.

We encourage our guests to pick and eat as much as they can.

WALKS

We’ve created miles of pathways over our own land, which link into local footpaths. The area teems with wildlife: birds, mammals, and insect life all abound and thrive here.

You might discover our cliff face, which is the remains of the quarry that built the house. If you’re feeling energetic, we’ve created a shady picnic spot with spectacular views. Children can scramble over the rocks, whilst adults while the time away.
